1. Convert Kit
The first on our best blogging tools for college bloggers list is ConvertKit for email marketing.
I have recently switched from Active Campaign because I wanted to embed forms and popups, as well as landing pages on my blog, and I found that ConvertKit could do that a little more beneficially for me.
What I like about ConvertKit is that they offer a FREE plan for up to 1,000 subscribers as well as a free premium trial!
You can get the free plan here!
2. Tailwind
Next, we got Tailwind, which is a Pinterest and Instagram scheduler that has saved me so much time and work!!
There are different tools within Tailwind, but let’s start with the Pinterest scheduler first.
My Pinterest Strategy
While everyone has different Pinterest marketing strategies, such as manual pinning vs scheduled pinning, I have found that scheduling pins gives me the best results!
If I was to pin everything manually, I would spend hours every day just pinning through the day. With Tailwind, I can schedule my pins into my scheduler every week (you could every month also) and the pins will be posted at the best times for my audience.

How often do you pin?
Every weekend, I create new pins for my most popular posts, as well as my most recent posts and schedule them to the most relevant boards.
Because creating pins can take a lot of time, I pin other people’s pins too, also because Pinterest regularly updates their best practices and has shared that being active on the platform and sharing other people’s pins is better for your account.
Basically, I pin around 30 pins per day, and at least half of them lead to my own blog, Etsy shop, or product.
Tailwind Create
Now let’s get to Tailwind’s new tool, Tailwind Create.
Tailwind Create is a pin design tool that makes quality pins quickly and allows you to optimize your Pinterest marketing.
I love using it, because it literally saves me so much time! I can insert the url to my post, select images of my own or from the Tailwind database, and the program automatically creates pin-designs in a matter of seconds!
Here is how that looks like:
- Add your destination link
- Add the title you want on the pin
- Select images
How to select images:
- Select stock photos or photos you used in your post (site photos)
- Click on “create images” to let Tailwind Create show you the pins
a.) Choose your color palette/ add your own colors
b.) Change your font
c.) Change destination link
d.) Select the pins you want to add to your schedule
Editing Pins
a.) Select text fields, elements, and new photos
b.) Adjust text size, shadows, heights, etc
c.) Save the changes and go back to selecting pins
Where to edit and select pins
After you’re done selecting your pins, click on “go schedule” and you’re done!
From there, you only need to write your description or adjust the pin title, and you can schedule the fresh pins!
Tailwind Free Plan
All in one, I can really recommend Tailwind, especially because they offer a free plan with a limited number of pins to schedule monthly, including 5 Tailwind communities you can share pins to.
AND, Tailwind Create is also free until a certain amount of pins per month!
I honestly don’t know what I would do without this Pinterest scheduler; I grew my Pinterest to 9m viewers a month and my blog traffic to 15k/month so far!
Refer to this post for Tailwind’s typical results!
My goal for this year is to pin even more own content with the help of Tailwind Create, and hopefully reach 6-figure blog sessions!

Creativemarket
The next blogging tool is Creativemarket! The marketplace for everything business related.
You can find themes, templates, stock photos, and many more great stuff on the website.
For example, I have my theme from there, as well as a few bundles that had stock photos, fonts, and elements included.
Grammarly
This tool is not only great for college assignments, but also for writing blog posts! Grammarly is a grammar and spelling checker that you can install for free in Chrome!
They also have a website where you can paste texts into for correction.
I personally always use it to check my grammar, since I write a lot as a blogger (and university student!) and sometimes I make careless mistakes because of how fast I write.
