Valentine’s day is around the corner but you don’t know how to spend it as a student? Here are my best Valentine’s Day Ideas for College Students!
When I went on Valentine’s Day activity hunt this year, I found so many fun ideas that I all wanted to try! So let me share them with you today so you can have a great day too.
I will divide this guide into 2 categories: ideas that you can do with your friends or by yourself, and romantic date ideas. Let’s start with the first!
Valentine’s Day Ideas for Friends
1. Go to the Movies
A basic, but classic activity for Valentine’s day! You can get some snacks and pick a good movie and just enjoy the time with your friends.
2. Have a Girls night
Who doesn’t love a good, long girls night with your best friend(s)? Get some snacks or make some, do hair and face masks, color each other’s nails, and watch your favorite movie!
The perfect way to spend Valentine’s if you ask me!
3. Solo Shopping Spree
I like this idea because you get to spend some time with yourself and treat yourself some!
But make sure to set a budget and buy things you actually love and will wear for a long time!
Shopping by yourself may sound boring and a little weird, but it actually is quite relaxing and you can really focus on yourself and what you want.
4. Ice Skating
This is an idea you can do with a boyfriend too, but it’s also fun with friends or even alone!
If you enjoy figure skating or always wanted to try some tricks, going alone can be the best way for you. That gives you all the time you need and you can solely focus on yourself.
At the same time, going with someone you love can make a fun and romantic date.
A ticket to the ice rink is pretty inexpensive, and you can spend an afternoon or evening there. How about getting some hot chocolate afterward? Yum.
5. Cook a Fancy Dinner
If you have a kitchen in your dorm (or you live in an apartment), you can cook a fancy dinner with your friends or for them!
Think of a meal that isn’t too difficult, but is still special and not something everyone eats on a daily basis.
Cooking is fun, preparing is fun, and eating even more!
Valentine’s Day Date Ideas
Now, let’s move on to some more romantic Valentine’s Day ideas for college students.
6. Recreate your first date
Even though it’s more for those who had a nice first date (and not a fail one), it’s a super cute idea that’s perfect for students.
7. Take a Hike
Hikes are my favorite and they’re even better on a special occasion like Valentine’s Day.
How about making some snacks and doing a picnic on the nicest spot on the hike?

I know this doesn’t sound like a date idea, but it is! Have you ever done some spa with your loved one? If not it’s the time!
Give each other massages, put on a face mask, and eat some good food (cooked by you guys but ordered is great too)
9. Write a love letter
This one isn’t really a date idea, but I still wanted to include it cause it’s so cute!
Getting letters is so special, but it’s even more special when it’s from someone you love.
You can do this together and write one for each other, or you make it a gift and make him/her happy!
10. Go to a Game
Sports games are great date ideas, and if there is one you’d like to see on Valentine’s Day, then go for it!
Alternatively, you can go to a theater production, comedy show, concert, drive-in movie, etc.
Other Valentine’s Day ideas for college students would be:

The lastly listed activities are for both, friends and lovers, so I just listed them so you can screenshot them easier (you’re welcome).
Those were my 25 Valentine’s day ideas for college students! I hope you have a few ideas now, about what you can do on that day.
I will either take a sunset hike (my fav) or have a spa girls night. Not sure yet! (or maybe I’ll do both)
Enjoy your Valentine’s Day, no matter who you spend it with. It’s the holiday of love, which doesn’t just include one special person, so spend it like that!
