Money for School
This is probably the first item on my Christmas wishlist. I really don’t need any more things. What I do need is money for college!
So if your relatives ask you what you want for Christmas, say money for your college fund, or a fun jar like this from Etsy!
This one can be customized too, so be creative! It’s just the perfect gift for both, High School and College students!
A Planner
You can also ask for a planner for next year. Whether you like bullet journaling, filofaxing, or just need a regular, already set-up, planner, it’s a good item to wish for Christmas.
Reusable Straw
What to ask for Christmas as a student trying to live a less wasteful life? What about a reusable straw?

This is also a great idea to give to people who aren’t as aware of sustainable living. By giving them something to start with is a good way to get them to be less wasteful.
With the code “zsuzsanna10” you can get 10% off EarthHero btw! If you decide to buy something for yourself or someone else for Christmas:)
Open When… Letters
I love personal gifts! Don’t you too? I think open when letters are perfect for college students, whether you ask for them for Christmas or give some to your friends yourself.
Polaroid Film
If you have a polaroid camera you could ask for some polaroid film! That is usually pretty expensive, but really useful when you get it.
A Onesie
It’s winter! What is more perfect to live in than a comfy onesie? I have a panda one myself and love it.
Bedding
If you live in a dorm, you could totally ask for another set of sheets or other accessories for your bed.
Experiences
Nothing is worth more than experiences and memories. In my family, we have made it a tradition to give little experience-coupons to each other.
If you always wanted to try horseback riding, go to a water park in spring break or do skydiving, you can ask for it for Christmas.
It gets harder every year to come up with things you want. But do you really need them? What I love about experiences is that they don’t take up any space and are so much worth.
Spending time with your friends and family doing what you wished for is so much fun.
Pela Phone Case
If you haven’t heard of Pela yet; they sell biodegradable phone cases! I have seen videos of phones in the case being dropped over and over again, and they really do protect phones extremely well!
I just love the fact that they are compostable and don’t create any waste. Check out their website and put it on your wishlist for Christmas.
Water bottle
If you don’t have a reusable water bottle yet, you can ask for one for Christmas. There are different kinds of water bottles, like tumblers, hydro flasks, glass bottles, stainless steel bottles, bottles with a filter, and many more.
Blanket
Who doesn’t love blankets? Put this on your wishlist if you do!
Merch
If you have a favorite band, sports team, or just love your school, you can also ask for some merch. Merch can be expensive, but getting it for Christmas is perfect!
Care Boxes
This was one thing I always used to give to my family for Christmas.
They are easy to make and super personal. You can wish for one too!
Subscriptions
Don’t have money for Netflix, Skillshare, Spotify or Amazon Prime? Well, what is Christmas for? (obviously not just for that. But you know how I mean.)
You can also wish for gift cards for your favorite restaurants or online stores.
Laptop Lamp
I recently got one and love it! If you tend to stay up longer than your college roommate, and you can barely see your laptop keyboard, this little thing really comes in handy.
Stainless Steel Food Containers
I love this idea and I’m putting it on my wishlist too! How many times do you get a box for your food cause you couldn’t eat it all? Or you cook something and want to put it in the fridge for the next day?
This container is perfect for those situations.
Projector
Who hasn’t seen all the Instagram ads with this projector? I do want it though haha. It is something I wouldn’t buy for myself because I don’t have the money for it. But getting it on Christmas would be great. (if you need it)
Emergency Kit
If you don’t have an emergency kit yet, ask for one for Christmas!
They come in pretty handy for when you get sick or you just like to have something to grab quickly if something happens at your school where you need to grab your valuables fast and leave. (not trying to scare you. Just be prepared.)
These were all my tips for what to ask for Christmas as a student! I hope some things inspired you for your own wishlist.
Don’t forget to ask for things you need or really want, so you don’t get wasteful things you’ll never use. (sometimes that can’t be avoided, but just saying)
