30+ Stocking Stuffers for College Girls

You need stocking stuffers for college girls but don’t know what to get them?

It may sound easy at first, but when you realize that most girls have so much stuff, it becomes tough to think of something they really can use and love.

Most people own soo many things, so it can get tough to find great gifts for them that won’t end up in the trash. That’s why I really tried to find and collect things or ideas that students really can use and they actually want.

These ideas are not just great for Christmas, but also for other occasions such as birthdays or graduation.

1. Reusable Straw

If your college student doesn’t have a stainless steel or bamboo straw yet, it’s time to get them some!

Definitely a good gift that will have some good use and not make more waste.

I personally have a stainless steel straw and got a bag from Etsy for it, and take it wherever I go.

2. Funny Socks

Even if your college girl is like me and doesn’t “really” like funny socks, that doesn’t count for Christmas time!

In my experience, pretty much every girl loves socks when they are Christmas themed, so it’s a great stocking stuffer.

3. Personalized Mugs

You could totally make this idea yourself, but just in case you’re not as crafty, this Etsy shop makes beautiful personalized mugs!! (I want one too)

You can pick a name, quote, or whatever you feel like fits best. The color of the font and the mug are also customizable, which makes this perfect for anyone who is into this style.

Even though you will have to be careful with it in a stocking, I think it fits well into our stocking stuffers for college girls list!

4. Polaroid Film

This idea only makes sense if your college girl has a polaroid camera, but it’s still great as a stocking stuffer.

You could also put it as a stocking stuffer if you plan on getting an actual polaroid camera as well. That would be so funny! Let them be a little confused until they open the real camera!

5. Phone Charger

Phone chargers can always be great gift ideas, considering your college girl does need one.

We don’t want to give away things that end up in a drawer for months. But at least you will know it will be used at some point.

6. Jewelry

Because they are usually pretty small, jewelry fits perfectly into stockings!

It can either be a necklace, rings, earrings, bracelets, and much more!

7. Bath Bombs

The next stocking stuffer ideas for college girls are bath bombs!

Bath bombs are available in various sizes, colors, shapes, and smells. They are just a great gift idea, but even more perfect as stocking stuffers.

I love the ones from Lush because they really care about their products being natural and sustainable.

8. Notebook

A notebook is another great stocking stuffer idea. Depending on the size, it should fit well into a stocking, and college girls can use it for multiple things!

Even if they have a notebook already, it doesn’t hurt to have more (don’t get crazy though).

I like the notebooks from Target, but I’m sure notebooks are available at almost any local shop. This one below is actually exactly one I have!

9. Phone Case

Phone cases are useful and fun as stocking stuffers. You can’t really do anything wrong with it!

But have you heard about the Pela cases? Pela is a brand that creates biodegradable phone cases! The cases protect phones extremely well while being good for the environment.

Ever thought about the plastic waste created by thrown-away cases that got damaged? Well, now you have the solution.

10. Experience Coupons

I keep mentioning this gift idea, but it’s just such a good one.

You can write anything on a cute coupon, such as:

• A cooking class
• Movie tickets
• Visit a national/state park
• Trip to a border state
• A trip to the beach/a lake
• Kayaking
• Tickets for a color run
• Tickets for Disney
• Trip to an amusement park
• A Spa day together
• and more!

Coupons are just so personal, aren’t wasteful in terms of materials, and have space in a stocking!

It doesn’t have to be expensive, you can think of anything that your college girl, or both of you, will enjoy.

11. Shampoo Bar

Let’s stay on the sustainable train and share some good swaps on Christmas!

A shampoo bar is a great gift because :

• fits perfectly into a stocking
• looks cute
• smells great
• it has a use
• no waste
• always needed
• creates awareness
• no leaking because it’s solid

Shampoo bars don’t have to be expensive, but I like the ones from Lush because they just smell so good and work well.

I haven’t used a liquid shampoo in over 6 months and never missed it.

12. Candle

Candles are great stocking stuffer ideas for college girls as well, even though most dorms don’t allow candles.

But who said they won’t come and can’t lit the candle then?

If your college girl has her own apartment, this is an even better gift.

13. Essential Oil Diffuser

If your college girl DOES live in a dorm and loves candles, an essential oil diffuser could be THE alternative to scented candles.

There are even portable ones that she could connect to an outlet or her laptop and have a great scent in her dorm.

14. Washi Tape

Does your college girl like to plan, be creative, or just write clean and pretty notes?

If yes, washi tapes are great small gifts that college girls will love to use.

Check out your local stationery store or Target, Walmart, etc.

15. Bamboo Toothbrush

You have some more space in the stocking but are running tighter with your budget?

A toothbrush has been used as a stocking stuffer for long, but they probably didn’t have them in bamboo.

Why do I think this is a good idea? Toothbrushes are needed sooner or later.

By giving away one out of bamboo and recyclable bristles, you can be sure to not give away waste, and maybe inspire your college girl to keep using bamboo toothbrushes instead of switching back to plastic.

Worth a shot, right?

Or gift card of a month of Netflix can be great stocking stuffer ideas for college girls.

18. “Tree” Pencils

Have you heard of those pencils that grow trees when you finish them and put them into soil?

I think those can be very unique stocking stuffers!

19. Laptop Stickers

I recently saw a picture of a dorm on Pinterest, where there was a laptop on the bed, full of stickers!

Those stickers can be good stocking stuffers for college girls if you need some more things to fill the stocking with.

20. Laptop Lamp

Let’s stay in the electronics section a little more.

I recently bought a USB laptop lamp, and it’s such an essential I didn’t know existed.

Does your college girl have a roommate? Then this is perfect!

I’m sure they don’t want to wake each other up by turning lamps on. But not having any lights on doesn’t work, even if the screen is bright. You just can’t see the keyboard!

With a lamp like this, you can see both without turning bright lights on. Personally, I love it.

21. Headphones

If your college girl doesn’t have headphones yet or keeps forgetting them in college when coming home, getting her a new pair is a great stocking stuffer idea.

They aren’t very expensive and just a good essential for college students.

A book is always a good idea, especially if your college girl likes to read.

If not so much, there are still books that are super useful, such as travel guides, how to make money, college tips, cookbooks, and much more.

I personally love ebooks, but that can be hard to wrap and put into a stocking.

Perfect for the new book! Bookmarks can be made easily, or if you don’t have enough time you can get them for cheap in any bookstore!

I personally love journals and cute diaries! You can’t really do anything wrong with journals as a Christmas gift!

Everyone likes a good movie, and not having to pay for it! It’s one of the best go-to gift cards for sure.
