Finding gifts for people who travel can be hard. They value experiences more than things (good!!) so it can be tough to find something that will be used and loved by them. These gift ideas for travelers will give you inspiration about what a travel-loving person may need or want for Christmas.

Related: Gift Ideas on a Budget
Let’s start with #1.
Personalized Luggage Tag for Travelers
Luggage tags are always a good idea if your traveler uses suitcases or travels by plane or bus a lot.
You can get these cute luggage tags from various online stores, like these:
Travel Documents Organizer
I have one myself and use it every time I travel! A travel document organizer is super handy for any traveler who needs more than their passport to travel.
In a case like this, there is space for other necessities than just the passport. That can be Credit cards, plane tickets, immigration confirmations, and much more.
Waterproof Camera
A waterproof camera is a good gift if your gifted one is a closer family member or a good friend, that you like to spend a little more money on.
There are many different waterproof cameras or even just waterproof cases for cameras and phones. You will find one on any budget.
I like this one from Amazon:
A Skillshare Membership
This gift idea is definitely something different and perfect for everyone, not just travelers.
What it is? Skillshare is one of the largest online learning platforms, with over 20,000 classes about various topics. With a membership, you get access to ALL of them and can pick and choose the ones that interest you.
And the best part, with my link, you can get 2 months of Skillshare for free!
So if you have friends or family interested in ANYTHING, a Skillshare membership of a few months can be a great gift.
Jewelry Case
I saw this the other day and put it onto my wishlist right away! If you’ve been reading my blog for longer now, you know I am a passionate traveler. And I ALWAYS have the issue of my necklaces and earrings getting tangled up.
So if anyone I know is reading this: #hint.
Scratch Map
This may sound like one of the basic gift ideas for travelers, but since it’s so popular, scratch maps are actually pretty cool if the person doesn’t have one yet.
Luggage Scale
I still don’t have one and remember it only when I need it! And then it’s always too late.
Having one that fits in every small bag would be so useful. I don’t think other travelers think different than me!
How many times did we need to weigh our bags and struggled with doing it on a big scale or just estimating the weight? Not a good choice. Get one for your travel friend and they will love you!
Polaroid Camera/ Films
Travelers love taking pictures and making memories (Me for sure. Others can be different obviously. It’s good if you know whether or not they would use a polaroid camera.)
If your target person (ha) already has a polaroid camera, getting polaroid films is the perfect gift idea. Why?
Because people with polaroids (myself included) don’t really like to buy their films themselves. They are (kinda) expensive (15 bucks for 20 films) but they are so useful that getting them as a gift is AMAZING.
You can get polaroid gear on Amazon or in any store like Walmart or Target.
Travel Journal
Between all these popular gift ideas for travelers, travel journals are probably my favorite! But that is partly because I am addicted to notebooks and journals.
If you know a traveler who you want to get a gift for, travel journals or any kind of notebooks will be a good choice.
If you aren’t sure about the style the person likes, go for a classic or simple colored one without any crazy prints.

Ornaments
I think ornaments are great gift ideas for travelers, and everyone else. They are more often than not very personal and useful.
Check these out from Target or look in your local store (be sustainable!).
Cork Globe
I love this idea! What travelers don’t love to use pins to mark places they’ve been? This kind of pinning isn’t crazy popular yet, that’s why it’s an amazing gift idea.
Cork Map
If you’re looking for something that’s maybe flatter than a globe (transportation reasons maybe, idk) but you still like the idea, what about a cork map?
This one below is self-adhesive so it’s like a wall sticker!
Piggy Bank
Every traveler needs money to travel! By giving a cute and personalized piggy bank, you are sure to have a gift that makes them happy!
You can add a few coins if you wanted too as well.
You can easily do this at home, but if you are here last-minute or just don’t have time, here is one from Amazon. I think it is so cute!
Filtered Water Bottle
Water bottles are crucial essentials for everyone, but especially travelers need them to save money, and more importantly, waste on their travels.
A filter in a water bottle is just an extra feature that I absolutely love.
That way they won’t even have to buy purified water since their water bottle can do that for them!
Of course, every bottle and filter does it on different levels, so make sure to let the person who you’re giving the gift to know, that research is needed to ensure complete safety with the filters.
I personally have the first one (even in the same color) of the ones I linked here:
Phone Lenses
If your traveling friend or family member loves taking pictures with phones rather than cameras, phone lenses are awesome gift ideas for travelers!
They usually fit onto every phone and make pictures more creative and unique. I found some of them on Amazon. Check them out!
Travel Jewelry
For the girls and women who travel, you can certainly find lots of travel-themed jewelry out there. This one is one of my favorites:
Electronics Organizer
This is honestly such a good idea! Chargers and other electronics can easily get tangled with other things in the suitcase, so having an organizer would be super useful!
Packing Cubes
Not everyone needs these, but they can be a good add-on for frequent travelers who try to pack as light as they can.
That was my last gift idea for today! Make sure to check out my other gift guides and Christmas posts:
